Quality and Commissioning Lead – Data Centres – Ireland Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of Data Centre construction projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works The need now exists for an experienced Quality and Commissioning Lead to join the team working on a Hyper-Scale Data Centre new build scheme in Ireland. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance plans to ensure that all electrical, mechanical, and structural components of the data centre meet required standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and audits to maintain consistent quality across all phases of construction. Lead the commissioning process for all systems in the data centre, including electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and IT infrastructure. Ensure that commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project timeline and are executed on schedule, from pre-commissioning to handover. Ensure all quality and commissioning activities are properly documented and comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Manage the creation and submission of commissioning reports, certificates, and relevant compliance documentation to stakeholders and authorities. Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that all systems are installed and tested according to specifications. Provide guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that arise during the commissioning phase. Oversee the testing and validation of all systems and equipment before the data centre is fully operational. Ensure that all systems, including backup power, cooling, and security systems, are functioning as expected and meet performance standards. Act as the primary point of contact for quality and commissioning-related issues with clients and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on the progress of commissioning, address any concerns, and ensure that the client’s requirements are met to their satisfaction before handover. Requirements Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality management, commissioning, or construction within the data centre or similar infrastructure sectors. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Data Centre experience is preferred Benefits Competitive and Negotiable salary + Package
